A Smile Is Worth A Million Memories!

As I took pictures of Lana the other day, I stopped to think about how wonderful it is to have someone look up the you no matter what. When your off or on, they always think its right. Also, to see them enjoy life for what it is and not whats going on tomorrow. Being a parent really takes me back to my childhood and has made me enjoy the moments that are happening right in front of me!

We went to See Elmo!

Yes, as you all know we also went to see Elmo...Yes again it was over a month ago but just wanted to keep everyone on there toes. Here are some pictures for the day, thanks to the Quirk's for making all our experience with you always extra funny. FYI--never send you child down a deep tube slide by themselves, they can get stuck inside.(Yes,I know from experience)

A Mom for Almost 2 years!

As Lana's 2nd birthday rolls around I try and remember back to the week before I had her. A week late already at this point I was still going to work everyday with the same people everyday says NO BABY YET! FYI for all of you if someone is still coming to work and she is still pregnant, put two and two together please. I was going home every night trying to make sure my house was perfect just in case the big moment caught me by surprise. But as the week went by and still no baby, I was getting annoyed. After going to the hospital for many extra test to make sure everything was ok with me and the baby, I had had enough. July 1 came and went and finally July 3 rolled around and the big call came, the nurse said if you can get the hospital fast we can squeeze you in. As my mom finished cleaning my kitchen floor, Gram locked up the house and a quick call to Frank. It was all down hill from there. My little Firecracker was born right on her time, 4th of July (fireworks and all). I use to tell Frank before Lana was born the I didn't want to have her on 4th of July, but now thinking about it she will never have to work on her birthday, and neither will any of you! Happy Birthday Lana...We love yeah!

BIte by a Black Fly!

Lana's friend Grace was bite by a black fly a couple minutes before the first picture was taken. She then when to bed that night and woke up looking like picture 2, by afternoon she looked like this. Grace hope you are feeling better soon.

The Big Reveal!

5 boxes, 2 days and alot of sweat later, Lana's 2nd birthday present is complete. It was alot and the amount of pieces and people involved was unbelieveable. I would like to thank my husband for making this happen, my dad for 3 days of crazy work (trees, rain, and heat), our brothers, brother in law and Dad C. for taking the time out of their crazy lives to help us out, and last but not least Mom C, thanks for watching Lana while I was working and couldn't be there. Thanks to all we love yeah!

Get Better Soon!

Kyle, hear you were under the weather.
Hope you are running around again soon!
We're thinking of yeah!

What do you think?

So, last night as I laid on the couch waiting for 9pm to roll around, I was hoping that the Jon and Kate Plus 8 announcement was going to be a good one. Boy, was I wrong. As a frequent watcher of the show, I have seen and understood everyone opinion on Kate's craziness and how used everyone thought Jon was, but my opinion was always, she's a mothe of 8 yes 8 and without organization and discipline the kids would take over. At the same time I always thought Jon was a very nice husband and dad, things got out of control but he was always there to help out, like packing for the big move or even vacations. As I watched the show last night with tears in my eyes I was dissappointed, Jon showed his true personality. I felt like he came off very self centered. He said, I am only 32 and don't know what the future holds. With glasses eyes Kate stated, I don't want to do this alone, I never thought I would be in this situation. As the show ended last night for the first time I couldn't get Kate off my mind. You could tell that she wanted to try and mend her relationship with Jon, and she could see why he was so angry towards her.

Concluding, I think Jon should get off his high horse and realize the future is right in front of him. 8 wonderful kids and now an ex-wife that loved him what more could you ask for.

KRSD the place to be on Father's Day!

Lana, makes an appearance at KRSD's finale show. It was so fun, I can't thank Miss Kelly and Miss Nancy enough for getting Lana a costume. She love it! Jorja and Lana sisters at heart!

Happy Daddy Day!

Daddy day started with Lana standing on of Frank's fathers day present to surprise him. (Rock speakers) Then Frank and Lana headed to the Check's for Father's day breakfast, but I was off to the big show. Around 3:30 Lana showed up to the show with her Daddy, with a smile ear to ear like her daddy's and she was ready to dance. She did a great job and she made Father's Day this year a little extra special with her recital appearance.

Frank, I love you and your one great dad!
Special Happy Father's day to my dad's (We love you both very much, thanks for all you do!)

Summer is here!

Friday night, Lana and I headed to the Nativity Carnival with the Quirk's. It was a great time. Lana and I even shared our first ice cream cone of the summer. (Many more where that came from!)
